This lovingly restored, listed station building from 1894 stands just outside Burg-Hohenstein in the Rheingau-Taunus district. Beside the overgrown tracks of the former Aartal railway, this historic complex offers 260 m² of living space for up to 12 overnight guests who value privacy, individuality and comfort. Larger groups, families and friends can enjoy undisturbed time together in the dining room, the large living room overlooking Hohenstein Castle ruins, on the two terraces or on the secluded sunbathing lawn beside the River Aar. Amenities include a kitchen for keen cooks with a five-burner gas hob and oversized oven, Wi-Fi, a TV, video on demand, a sauna, a built-in outdoor barbecue, a washing machine and a tumble dryer. Hohenstein Station is a peaceful base for exploring the lush Taunus forests. Keen cyclists will also find plenty to enjoy. A restaurant is 200 metres away, separated from the property by a wooded slope and the River Aar. The nearest village with restaurants and shops is a five-minute drive away. The spa town of Bad Schwalbach is 8 km away, and Wiesbaden, the state capital of Hesse, is 22 km away. The base rate shown on the platform covers up to 8 guests; an additional charge applies per day for each extra guest. Gas, water and electricity are billed according to actual consumption. Meter readings are taken together on arrival and departure, and these costs are payable on departure.
